PowerTool, Freeware by IFBsoft This Excel-sheet performs calculations on Wiring Loss for 100V, 70V und and Low-Z Audio Systems. Only metric Input Data is accepted, but the corresponding Values, feet and AWG, are converted and displayed. V1.1: Changes, Debugging Within the 100V, 70V and Low Z Calculation the imperial "max Power f. Wire Gauge and Length" had been obtained by multiplying the metric Watts by 3.28 (this is the conversion from meters to feet ...). So the "US" Watts looked very optimistic, but they were wrong, of course (Cells J 25, J42, J59). The metric and imperial Watts now read the same values, except of rounding. This is how we think it should be. V1.2 Changes, Debugging Cells D 59 and G 59 read ... Power, must read Ohms. This is the minimum Impedance for an acceptable damping factor and wiring loss for the selected wiring lenght and gauge.
